Winter preparations and transfer news:

Schalke spent one week in Benidorm as part of their winter break training. In a friendly, the Royal Blues defeated Belgian side KRC Genk 2-1.

Schalke’s latest recruit, Marko Pjaca, scored to make it 1-0. The Croatian has joined the Gelsenkirchen-based club from Juventus on loan until the end of the season.

Additionally, Schalke have shared the news of their transfer of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim attacker Mark Uth who will head to the Ruhr area in summer.

In terms of players leaving, none have been announced so far.

The earlier match-up saw numerous intense battles such as the one depicted here between Marcel Sabitzer and Leon Goretzka. S04 were clinical and that meant they ran out 2-0 winners.
