- "We played against a very tough opponent and deserved to lose. We found our feet well early on in the game and got ourselves the opening goal. Then we found ourselves increasingly under pressure against a dynamic and versatile opponent, so we changed our system. That worked well but they managed to get the equaliser from our corner.
"After the break we went after the second goal - that didn't work and, after they got two goals in quick succession, the points were essentially tied up. The scoreline reflects the difference between the two sides tonight. Leverkusen deserved everything they got; they were very effective. We now need to move on, concentrate on Thursday and put in a completely different performance against Marseille."
- "We started well and were able to implement our game plan. After we went into the lead though, the game changed. In the second half, we wanted to show that we were a better side than Leverkusen, but it just didn't work out. We are disappointed, but we have to turn things around for Thursday, where we know we have a chance to book our place in the Europa League semi-finals."
- "In the first half, the game was fairly even and it was of a high intensity. Both teams had their fair share of chances, but in the second half we couldn't keep it that way and lost our grip on the game. We conceded two easy goals and didn't get any luck in the final third.
"This result is hard to take but we need to put it behind us quickly. Our next game is on Thursday and we need to produce our best there."
- "Of course it is hard to take, especially considering Leverkusen have now leapfrogged us in the table. There are still five league games left, however, so it is important that we stay focused and get the points we need. Of course it will be tough, but we have the quality we need. Now it's all about clearing our heads before Thursday and delivering a much better performance. We've worked hard all season for games like these."
