"Even games like that will improve us on the long term"

Ralph Hasenhüttl, Stefan Ilsanker, Diego Demme and Kevin Kampl gave their thoughts after RBL's 4-0 defeat, looking forward to the tasks ahead.

 Ralph Hasenhüttl

"A lot went wrong today. We conceded simple goals and didn't play good football. We need to learn from games like these and go again on Wednesday. We moved the ball to slow and didn't make the right decisions when it counted. For a moment at the beginning of the second half, we were back in the game, but we had too few chances.

"Their second goal was the killer blow, which we don't want to see happen again. We need to analyse this result because even games like these can help us on the long run."

Diego Demme

"It was not a good day for us. We didn't defend well and weren't efficient passing the ball around. It was an overall poor performance from the team. Now we'll talk about the mistakes and focus on putting them right on Wednesday."

 Stefan Ilsanker

"It was a difficult game. We wanted to risk more in the second half, but nothing went to plan for us and it's a big disapointment. Hoffenheim punished us for the space we gave them. We won't let this result impact on Wednesday's game though. We will put on a completely different face for that one!

"It's great on a personal level to be fit again. It was important to get back onto the pitch, to get involved in the action, to start passing the ball and challenging for it. I will build on this and look forward."

Kevin Kampl

"We all know it was a bad day in the office. A 4-0 defeat is always bad, but things like that happen in football. It's frustrating because we lost ground against a direct competitor in the league. We'll write this one off, analyse the mistakes and do it better next time. You can learn from every defeat. These games are particularly important for young players because you have to be able to grown from them."
