“We’ll grab the chance with both hands!”

Ralph Hasenhüttl looks forward to the game away against Hertha BSC | Willi Orban and Naby Keïta eligible to play again | Emil Forsberg still suspended | Over 7,400 RBL fans expected to make trip

Season finale in the capital city! Die Roten Bullen will travel to play Hertha BSC, who are tenth in the league, in their Berlin stadium on Saturday (KO: 15:30 CEST). Over 7,400 RBL fans have secured tickets to support the in the Olympiastadion’s away stands.

Head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl spoke to the media about the upcoming game and gave updates on the squad at the press conference.

Ralph Hasenhüttl:

“The Bundesliga table is looking very interesting heading into the final matchday of the season. For us, anything is possible from fourth all the way to ninth. It shows how close the league is this year. The upcoming away game against Hertha is one of our most important games of all. We’re not thinking about the other team because it’s in our own hands; if we win, we’ll be playing on the international stage again next season.

“The lads are really looking forward to the matchday and are working hard. We’re ready for the season finale. I can promise that the boys will play with passion in front of all our travelling fans in Berlin. We know that this game is a huge opportunity for us and we’ll grab the chance with both hands.

“Hertha won against us in the reverse fixture this season, so we have something to make up for. We have to learn from our mistakes in that game. Hertha have conceded few goals in the second half of the season – they’re very strong defensively. It’s not going to be an easy task to do, but we can win in Berlin and we’ll give it our all to do just that.”

Squad update:

Willi Orban (yellow) and Naby Keïta (double yellow) have served their suspensions and are eligible to play again against Hertha. Also, the captain is approaching his 100th competitive appearance in a RBL shirt.

Emil Forsberg is still serving his suspension after his red card against Hoffenheim.

Apart from long-term injuries Marcel Halstenberg, Marcel Sabitzer and Philipp Köhn, the coach has a full selection of players to select from.
