What a win! In front of over 40,000 fans at the Red Bull Arena, Ralf Hasenhüttl's men came from behind to beat Hannover 96 2-1 and secure a seventh win of the season.
After a shaky start, Leipzig assumed control of the game, given few chances away to our visitors. The best chance of the half fell to Timo Werner on the stroke of half time, but his strike was deflected onto the crossbar after a fine cross from Bruma.
The team were unable to carry the momentum into the second half and Jonathas fired the visitors in front with a cool finish. But Yussuf Poulsen, fed by Werner, found the deserved equaliser in the 70th minute. Timo Werner completed the comeback in the 85th minute, guiding in from a strong Emil Forsberg assist.
