"It was a hard-fought win"

Ralph Hasenhüttl, Marcel Sabitzer, Peter Gulasci and Yussuf Poulsen gave their thoughts following the 2-1 win over Hannover 96.

 Ralph Hasenhüttl

"It was a really tricky game, a real battle. We knew it was going to be an intense match so we brought in fresh legs from the start and were then able to bring on quality from the bench. Emil Forsberg and Naby Keita gave us real momentum today. We found a real flow in our football and scored two good goals.

"We had chances in the first half, too, but couldn't take them. Hannover were well set up and dangerous till the end. It was a hard-fought win. Big congratulations to my team after a really challenging week. We're looking forward to the international break."

 Peter Gulacsi

"It was very important to get three points at home today. We put in a really good performance, even though the team weren't all completely fit after a challenging week. Passion carried us over the line today.

"We wouldn't have won without our determination today. We knew from the start it was going to be tough; the fans were very important after we went behind. We deserved the win."

 Marcel Sabitzer

It was 90 minutes of hard work. We weren't direct enough in the first half, but Hannover were very good. It was too easy for them to find holes in our defence.

"It's key for us to go into the international break with a win, especially after our midweek result. We have great determination in our team and were very disapointed to come away empty handed against Porto. We were under a bit of pressure today, but didn't let it affect us and we deserved the win in the end."

 Yussuf Poulsen

"I had the feeling we were raising the tempo when we conceded, but then we built up the pressure and created a lot of chances. It was just a question of time before we scored. The win does us a lot of good. I think we deserved to win after everything we created in the second half."
