Leipzig win in Hannover!

Emil Forsberg, Willi Orban and Yussuf Poulsen score for Leipzig | Timo Werner gets two assists | Five changes from the Bayern game | 2,430 Leipzig fans in the HDI-Arena

Leipzig remain unbeaten for the sixth game in a row. The boys win 3-2 (1-0) in Hannover, taking all three points back with them in what is an important step in the battle for European football.

Ralph Hasenhüttl and his side started full of confidence and fired themselves in the lead after 16 minutes through Emil Forsberg, after having been set up perfectly by Timo Werner.

In the second half, RBL were equally as dominant, getting their second early on through captain Willi Orban. Yussuf Poulsen kept the two goal cushion and Leipzig's third as the scores were 3-1 going into the closing stages.

The hosts refused to give up however with substiture Niclas Füllkrug getting their second and even though he though he got their third, it was deemed to be offside by the video officials.

Quote from Ralph Hasenhüttl:

The three points are massively important for us and I'm glad we have been rewarded for our efforts away from home. We are fully aware however that we will need to be stronger at the back in the coming weeks. It seems to happen too often that we go in front but then get pegged back, which throws the cat amongst the pigeons.

"Hannover made the best of their chances and put us under pressure. It was really hectic for a while but then we composed ourselves and got the result we wanted. At the end it was all smiles."
