What happens if...?
We will go through to the knockout stages if...
...we score more points than Porto. Should the Portuguese side lose to Monaco, a draw with Beşiktaş will suffice. If Porto draw, we must win to finish the group in second place.
We will go into the Europa League if...
...we score equal or less points than Porto on Wednesday. Should the Portuguese club defeat Monaco, we have no chance of finishing second in the group and can’t go into the Champions League round of 16. If we finish the group in third place, we will go into the Europa League round of 32.
Champions League/Europa League draw:
Regardless of how Wednesday’s game pans out, die Roten Bullen will certainly be pushing hard for a return to European football next year. The draw for the Champions League and Europa League will take place on Monday 11th December in Nyon, Switzerland.
Champions League/Europa League dates:
The Champions League knockout phase will begin on 13th/14th and 20th/21st February 2018.
The Europa League round of 32 kicks off on 15th February 2018.
